Peter Mayer

Peter Mayer

Peter Mayer writes songs for a small planet--songs about interconnectedness and the human journey, about the beauty and the mystery of the world. Whimsical, humorous, and profound, his music breaks the boundaries of "folk" and transcends to a realm beyond the everyday love song, to a place of wonder at the very fact of life itself.

"Mayer’s fluid, clean, and tremendously intriguing guitar playing is topped with warm, rich vocals. This is music for the soul." Acoustic Guitar Magazine

"He is unafraid of complicated topics and always strives to look beyond the easy sentiment... Peter does nothing less than address the very nature of our existence... Trust me, most songwriters can’t pull this off. Peter Mayer does." Dale Connelly, Morning Show Host, Minnesota Public Radio

The Lucky Dutch - Benefit for NSMA

The Lucky Dutch - Benefit for NSMA

The Lucky Dutch is an American rock band from Illinois, formed in 2008 by guitarist Nathan Graham and singer Claire Corriveau. Graham has performed as a guitarist on the Chicago blues scene since age 15, working and touring with musicians such as Buddy Guy, BB King, and Koko Taylor.

Claire Corriveau has worked consistently as a performing musician since 2008, both as a solo artist and with a wide variety of bands. David Padula has played bass since 2006, working in a jazz trio through college before moving to Chicago in 2012. Ben Dacoba started playing drums at age 15 in Virginia. He draws inspiration from classic rock bands from the ‘60s and ‘70s and works as a touring drummer all around the country.

The group began their career as an indie band, performing extensively around Chicago’s bar and festival scene. The Lucky Dutch have released two LPs: Bury the Night in 2014, and Cadillac Coffin in 2016. In May 2018, they released a new single called "My Time Ain't Long."

Pura Fé

Pura Fé

Pura Fé, whose name means "Pure Faith," was born in New York City and is an heir to the Tuscarora Indian Nation. Her musical journey, running the gamut from folk to mainstream through an artful use of the blues, reflects the concerns of an artist who grew up in the Motown era, while citing Buffy Sainte-Marie, Charley Patton, and Joni Mitchell as her true mentors. More widely, Pura presents "traditional music from all over the world, wherever the spirit is connected to our roots."

Pura Fé has studied and performed with The American Ballet Theatre Company and has appeared in several Broadway musicals and TV commercials. She has sung for The Mercer Ellington Orchestra and countless jazz, R&B, and rock bands, and she has stamped her distinct vocals on many recordings, demos, music videos, and movie soundtracks throughout her career. Pura is a founding member of the internationally renowned Native women’s a capella trio, Ulali, and is recognized for creating a new genre, bringing Native contemporary music to the forefront of the mainstream music industry. Ulali has shared bills with artists including Buffy Sainte-Marie, Miriam Makeba, John Trudell, Richie Havens, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the Neville Brothers.
